Experience
Before joining Farrer Huxley Associates Andy graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University. His studies have been supplemented with eighteen months working for a large multi disciplinary consultancy in Northern England. During this time he gained invaluable experience on a range of projects, including masterplanning and detailed design for a variety of housing and educational schemes. Additionally Andy has experience of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment.

Key Skills
Andy believes that strong visual presentation of ideas in an appropriate style are fundamental to progress concepts through design phases to fully realised landscape solutions, and he uses his experience to produce high quality images, combining computer graphics and freehand drawing skills.  

 Interests
Andy believes that people should be encouraged to interpret landscapes in new ways, to find new and spontaneous ways in which to explore and experience spaces, simultaneously engaging in unexpected interactions with each other and the surrounding environment. This demands that as designers we are flexible in our approach, and shouldn’t respond negatively to spaces being used in ways we hadn’t anticipated at the drawing board stage.
