Lily Bakratsa

Landscape Architect

Lily is committed to community, and is a strong advocate for involving end-users in creative development.

During her time at FHA Lily has engaged with a number of community groups, and has expertise in a lively mix of consultation approaches. For example, Lily is a creative and skilled focus group moderator, who has brought together multiple resident groups to ensure community opinion is at the heart of landscape design. She is also experienced in facilitating creative workshops with hard to reach groups; including stakeholder workshops (which have brought together consultants, residents and clients) and creative workshops with vulnerable people, such as inmates of a youth detention centre.

Lily loves to pass her passion for landscape onto young people, and in 2016 was an RHS Volunteer Mentor for the “Green Plan It” Challenge winning First Prize with Swanley Secondary School in East London for the design of a community garden. Since October 2016 Lily has acted as a Landscape Ambassador for the Landscape Institute in the UK.

Lily is an active artist, and has both exhibited and published her work in the past. More recently, she has recently taken up improvisation as a way to explore the art of storytelling. Lily is also a committed fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care
