Assistant Landscape Architect
Mais has a breadth of international experience. She has worked as an Architect in Syria and in Lebanon, and has also worked on projects in the Ivory Coast, Saudi Arabia and Iraq,
In 2015 she moved to the UK to expand her expertise, and follow her passion for planting and public space design and functionality. Today, Mais is studying for a Masters in Landscape Architecture at The University of Greenwich; a profession, which is currently non-existent in her native Syria. In the future, once the war is over, Mais hopes she can use her new-found knowledge to revive Syria's green and urban spaces and in doing so help the country's people find peace, calm and serenity.
Outside of working at FHA and studying at Greenwich, Mais has volunteered for ‘poetry in wood.’ This is a charity, which celebrates creativity and empowers people with learning difficulties to contribute and participate in wider society.
In her spare time Mais loves swimming and cooking for friends; her signature dish is Bamia Stew.
