Nic shifted focus from education to landscape after her MA in Education researched the impact of a new school building on students and teachers, evidencing the value of genuinely involving users in the design process.
While completing her Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of East London, Nic lead research projects with many of London’s Adventure Playgrounds, strengthening her belief in the power of collaborative community design and play – the guiding themes of her final thesis.
While her background in teaching and play has given her a strong understanding of how spatial considerations can meet the needs of young people, especially teenagers, her work as a Landscape Architect seeks to create playful, accessible and meaningful spaces for everybody.
Nic enjoys travelling, yoga and swimming in Brockwell Lido (whatever the weather!)
