Suzanne Coucher

Associate Landscape Architect

Suzie believes that good landscape architecture is a catalyst. It enables people to engage positively with their surroundings and activates both physical and social change; crucial for the long-term regeneration and success of our communities. Suzie’s sensitive, responsive approach and enthusiasm for working with communities has delivered designs that both compliment the built form and offer landscapes tailored to specific users.

Since joining FHA in 2014, Suzie has lead a number of complex and large-scale residential schemes, including the RIBA Award-Winning Burridge Gardens in Clapham. The project has entailed the delivery of Phase 1 on-site and the subsequent planning and design development for future phases.

Suzie is currently leading the design of an over-arching landscape masterplan, for the regeneration of Barnfield Estate, on behalf of The Royal Borough of Greenwich. A substantial feasibility study, including extensive consultation with a diverse range of stakeholders, has lead to the development of a masterplan.

In her spare time Suzie volunteers with Buddy Hub, a charity that helps connect people within their local community and works to combat loneliness and isolation amongst senior citizens. Suzie will usually be found at the gym, at a local gig or visiting one of London’s many galleries and museums.
